CENTRE CONTRE LA PAUVRETÉ – CENTER AGAINST POVERTY "UJISAIDIYE" is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to fighting poverty, reducing inequality, providing clean water abroad, and empowering vulnerable communities. Derived from the Swahili word meaning "Help Yourself," Ujisaidiye embodies our core philosophy: providing individuals with the tools, skills, and resources they need to build sustainable livelihoods and achieve long-term self-reliance.

Our Founder

Sumaili Kabika, based in Hamilton, Ontario, founded Centre Contre la Pauvreté -Center Against Poverty" Ujisaidiye" after witnessing firsthand the suffering caused by lack of clean water and basic resources.

His mission: “No family should suffer because of poverty.”
