We are a community‑driven organization dedicated to reducing poverty through practical, sustainable solutions. Founded by Sumaili Kabika, Ujisaidiye works with local leaders, families, and volunteers to create lasting change.

Our history
From modest beginnings, the Centre Contre la Pauvreté / Center Against Poverty (CCPU) has grown through deep dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. What started as a focused, local vision to support vulnerable individuals and families right here in Hamilton, Ontario, has expanded into a dual mission capable of making a profound global impact.
Each milestone in our journey has reinforced our core belief in collaboration, community empowerment, and integrity. Today, we are proud to transform passion into action—whether we are delivering immediate housing and food security solutions at home, or funding life-changing clean water initiatives like the Fumu Kento Water Well Project abroad.

The Fumu Kento Water Well Project is a critical, community-driven initiative aimed at ending a severe water crisis in Fumu Kento, a village in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Currently, the community's 1,500 residents lack access to safe infrastructure and rely entirely on contaminated surface water, leading to a high prevalence of waterborne illnesses.
